Kansas State filled a big need on the recruiting trail Saturday afternoon when 2025 running back Monterrio Elston announced his commitment to the Wildcats.
Elston, who announced his decision during a ceremony at the school, chose K-State over a top three that included Arkansas and Missouri.
K-State has long sought Elston to help solve the running back position in the class of 2025. The Wildcats initially offered the Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview Magnet running back in October 2023, with Elston making multiple visits during the season and spring.
On June 21, Elston took his official visit to K-State. The visit coincided with four-star tight end Linkon Healingwho announced his commitment to K-State earlier this month.

A versatile player out of the backfield, Elston displays the explosiveness to impact the game as both a receiver and runner. Last season, Elston was a vital part of the Parkview offense that helped the Patriots go undefeated.
Elston is the 14th commitment in K-State’s 2025 recruiting class, and the third since July 1. He’s just the sixth commitment on offense, as K-State has devoted a lot of resources to the defensive side of the ball.
