Yahoo Sports Senior NBA Reporter Vincent Goodwill reports on how Team Duke held its own against this year’s Olympic team at the USA Basketball Men’s National Team Camp in Las Vegas.

Video transcript

Um, I mean, I’m confident in my ability and ability.

Um So, at the end of the day, yes, I’m confident in who I am and what I can do.

So I’m just going out to play basketball.

The last American-born white player to enter the NBA with strength and resilience.

It was Larry Bird who could be facing the Cooper flag entering his first year at Duke for now.

He is part of the USA team against the Olympic team and on day one, it was his job to show that he belonged on day two.

He showed that he could withstand the best NB A tips on dunks.

He was among the people who impressed the NBA people the most.

After two days of scrimmage, it would have been nice if the selected team had beaten the Olympic team to give them a chance at the wake-up call, but they played close in the scrimmage, losing by just one. Cooper’s flag was down for some of the biggest plays during that fight that the media was allowed to see and some of the clips you’ll see on social media, but from here it looks like he belongs and it looks like he’s doing just fine.

The number one pick in next June’s NBA draft.
