Among Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels’ big draft board targets for 2025 is five-star forward Nate Ament.

The Tar Heels entered the draft a little late for the forward, offering him in May after scouting him for months. Davis and his team liked what they saw in him to extend the offer and now the search has begun.

And it looks like they’re recruiting him pretty hard.

According to HS Top Recruiting, the Tar Heels are among the programs that are ‘recruiting the hardest’ recently. Joining the Tar Heels in this conversation are UConn, Duke, Kentuckyand Kansas State.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Ament has a total of 20 offers in his recruitment with blue bloods behind him. The Warrenton, Virginia, native is starting to see his recruiting pick up as interest from programs increases, as noted above.

Where the Tar Heels stand in this draft is unknown at this time, but if this report is true, it appears that Davis and his staff are starting to push this draft.

Ament is ranked No. 7 nationally, the No. 4 power forward and the No. 1 player in the state of Virginia according to the 247Sports Recruiting Rankings for the class of 2025.
