NBA draft analyst Krysten Peek talks to Cameron and Cayden Boozer, two of the best players in the incoming high school senior class. The twins won two gold medals for Team USA and three high school state championships. The duo discusses playing together at the highest level and possibly playing alongside each other in college.

Video transcript

I’m Kristen Peak, here at the USA Basketball U 17 tryouts were Cameron Boozer, Caden Boozer.

Uh, two top prospects entering the senior class.

Camera.

Let’s start with you.

I mean, the competition is so big here.

How it is?

Just being here up and down with these guys?

I mean, like you said, C is great.

Um, some of the best guys in the country here, a lot of top guys from our class and the class of 2026 as well.

So it’s always good to come here and play with the best guys in the country.

Give it a good jolt.

Um, I love the competition, I love the energy here.

I was just USA Basketball.

So it’s a great environment with you, Ken just in the guard position.

I mean, you guys were after it again, very quarrelsome, you know, just playing with your brother playing with the Bigs.

How do you feel, you know, this weekend and, and the week has gone by, I mean, I, I feel like it was good, you know, just playing against other guards in the league here and, you know, just playing for big that you normally only play against Jaden Tombs or cops like that kind of guy, just playing with them and just trying to help them, like you have success on the court.

Just a great experience.

You both won at literally every level of high school.

AU you won a gold medal last year.

Um, there’s something about the set.

I don’t know if it’s a twin connection or something, but how fun it is to not only be successful and play on the court with your, with your brother, but just go through that process.

Uh, I mean, it’s great, especially to have someone that I’m so close to and have the same mindset.

I always want to win.

Um, we always push each other to be great just because we’re both high level and it’s always something you can compete with, especially when it’s your blood.

It’s just that it’s a different kind of love.

Um So and, and to you, Ken, I mean, do you guys still play one every now and then or not?

I mean, um, we train together and we play like open matches against each other, but I mean, we don’t really play one on one against each other.

And your father?

Have you guys ever done any competitions or shooting or anything like that with your dad, man?

He hasn’t played in a few years.

So no, it’s been a while since I played with him and cam, I mean, his dad just, you know, playing at the highest level.

Hmm, what has it been like having you as a resource in this process?

I mean, it’s great to have someone to talk to who’s been through it all.

So he’s a great person to be around, especially, like, obviously he’s your dad, so you can talk to him every day.

So it’s been great.

OK?

And, um, I want to ask you two because I don’t think anyone knows each other’s games better than the two of you.

Give me a quick scouting report on camera, I mean, three tier scoring, great rebounder, uh, a leader, vocal leader, probably the best player on the court, no matter what court it is.

Oh, that was cool.

Alright, your turn.

That was so much, um, I say K is a great point guard.

He controls the pace of the ball defender very well.

Um, he’s an underrated leader.

Uh, he’s a great basketball player. Q makes the right plays, doesn’t make as many mistakes.

So he’s a guy everyone should want on their team.

OK. And I just want to get this out of the way once and for all, just because I asked you guys individually, but I want you to respond together.

Do you have a package for the college game?

Are you exploring different options individually or is it just the best option for either of you.

I mean, we’re a package deal.

Obviously we have a lot of the same offers, but I mean, we’re exploring our options differently and if we can go to the same college, that’s great.

But if we don’t, that’s okay too.

Okay, I’ll keep you from asking about any schools since I know you always get caught.

You know, the offers if you follow these two, you know the offers.

Thank you so much guys.

Good luck in Istanbul Turkey and for more information about boozoo camera and km.
