The North Carolina Tar Heels will begin their 2024-25 season on November 4th by hosting Elon at the Dean E. Smith Center, beginning what we hope will be an exciting season once again in Chapel Hill.
On Wednesday, the program officially released its non-conference schedule, releasing all the dates and opponents for Hubert Davis’ team. And looking at the schedule, it’s another tough non-conference slate for the Tar Heels.
UNC will face Kansas, Alabama, FloridaIt is UCLAas well as playing in the Maui Invitational as highlights of the non-conference schedule.
Take a look at the schedule below:
-
vs. Elon (November 4)
-
IN Kansas (November 8)
-
vs. American (November 15)
-
IN Hawaii (November 22)
-
Maui Invitational (Nov. 25-27)
-
Alabama (December 4) (ACC/SEC Challenge)
-
x LaSalle (December 14)
-
Florida (December 17) (Jumpman Classic in Charlotte)
-
UCLA (Dec. 21) (CBS Sports Classic in New York City)
-
vs. Campbell (December 29)
As you can see, it’s a tough non-conference schedule from the start. In the first month, UNC will play two of the projected top three teams heading to Kansas, and then a month later they will play Alabama.
But it will be a good challenge for the Tar Heels as the season goes on.
The full ACC schedule has not yet been released, so there will likely be a game in early December or the end of the month to kick off the conference season.
