The North Carolina Tar Heels basketball program found its groove again last season, a year before missing the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Hubert Davis’ team won the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season title, earning first place in the NCAA Tournament.
Despite not winning it all and losing in the Sweet 16, the season was fun for the program. And many fans at the Dean Dome saw some fun games.
The Tar Heels led all of college basketball in attendance last season, averaging 20,593 fans through 15 games. They beat Syracuse (20,288), Kentucky (19,928), Tennessee (19,664) and Arkansas (19,106).
Overall, the Dean Dome saw a total of 308,895 fans attend games last season cheering on the Tar Heels. The players feed off the excitement of the crowd and it really shouldn’t be a surprise that UNC led the crowd.
Can they go ahead and do it again in the 2024-25 season?
