Basketball Olympic Games today: Greece x Canada highlights Paris Games list

One of the most anticipated events in Paris 2024 Olympics starts on Saturday.

Eight countries will be in action on Saturday in search of the gold medal in the 5-on-5 basketball event that runs from July 27 to August 11, when the women’s gold medal game is scheduled.

On Saturday, however, the men’s group will start first, which features some of the main candidates for the Olympics, such as France and Canada. The list is headlined by a clash between Greece and Canada, which will feature first-team NBA players Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Canada).

Each Olympic basketball team will compete against three opponents in the group stage before advancing to the bracket, from which eight teams qualify. There are three groups (A, B and C) and each one is made up of four teams.

Saturday’s Olympic basketball slate will be broadcast live across the NBC family of networks, which includes NBC, USA Network, CNBC and Peacock, NBC’s exclusive streaming platform.
