THE Wisconsin Badgers are reportedly among the programs heavily involved in recruiting Class of 2026 running back Javian Osborne.

On3 Vice President Steve Wiltfong recently reported that Osborne ‘will be back at Texas A&M for your opening vs. Notre Dame,’ ‘aims to see Texas play a few times this fall’ and ‘maybe get to Wisconsin in September.’

The Forney, Texas native is 247Sports’ No. 66 player in the class of 2026, the No. 6 running back and No. 7 recruit in the state of Texas. On3, on the other hand, ranked him as the 23rd overall player in the class and the No. 1 running back.

Wisconsin, Texas and Texas A&M lead a loaded offer sheet that also includes Alabama, Florida, State of Florida, Georgia,Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee and USC. 247Sports currently has a crystal ball prediction on record for Osborne to pick Texas State at this early stage in the process.

Landing a visit to Wisconsin would be a huge win for the program, as nearly every top team in the country joins the search for the top running back. The program’s September schedule includes September 7 against South Dakota and September 14 against Alabama. The latter is a weekend that could have a substantial impact on Osborne’s recruitment if the Badgers can convince him to visit.

Wisconsin currently has one player committed to its 2026 class: three-star quarterback Jarrin Mock. The cycle should heat up as soon as the class of 2025 is signed and the calendar moves to 2026.
