Ohio State has added a preferred in-state walk-on to its class of 2024. While it may not seem like much, these guys often do much of the dirty work during the week to help the team succeed. And every now and then, one of them will push for playing time after a few years in the program.
Enter the latest edition, Nate Riegle of Findley, Ohio. Riegle played football at Findley High School, where he was a teammate of current OSU offensive lineman Luke Montgomery. Riegle is listed as “athlete” on 247Sports but played linebacker and tight end for the Trojans.
Riegle is currently unranked by any of the major recruiting services. However, he received offers from several Division II programs, including Tiffan, Findley and Ohio Dominican.
It’s a dream come true for any high school football player in the Buckeye State. Welcome to the brotherhood, young man.
