The Spartans came up just short against their rivals in a battle for a top offensive lineman in the 2025 class.

Avery Gach of Franklin, Michigan committed to Michigan on Friday afternoon, choosing the Wolverines over Michigan State, Ohio State and Wisconsin. Gach is a four-star prospect in the 2025 class.

Gach is ranked as the No. 13 interior offensive lineman and No. 196 overall prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the class of 2025. He is also listed as Michigan’s No. 2 player.

Gach was projected to end up at Michigan in recent weeks, so the pick wasn’t a surprise. This is still, however, a prospect the Spartans would love to add to their 2025 class.
