Mack Brown and the UNC football program are still assembling their 2025 recruiting class as they prepare for a busy summer on the recruiting trail.
The program will hold a few open house weekends in June in hopes of not only attracting some potential clients, but potentially convincing others to come to Chapel Hill in the future. And one prospect to visit is Ohio State commit London Merritt.
The IMG Academy perspective is committed to Ohio State in April, choosing the Buckeyes out of 39 offers. However, looking at Merritt’s recruiting profile in 247 Sportshe is still scheduled to visit North Carolina on June 7 for a big recruiting weekend.
Inside Carolina also hinted that he will honor this visit in a premium post.
North Carolina might not be the only school he visits in the month of June, as he is reportedly open to a visit to see the Florida alligators also for a report.
The 6-foot-2, 250-pound Merritt is listed as a four-star recruit ranked No. 125 nationally, No. 16 defensively and No. 15 in the state of Florida, according to the 247Sports Recruiting Rankings.
The Tar Heels have 10 commitments in the 2025 class, making them a top-25 class heading into a very important summer. They still have plenty of prospects in the pipeline, including Merritt, and the hope is they can contribute to this already talented class.
