As one of the few schools nationwide with a national recruiting draw, Notre Dame football is not afraid to offer any prospect in any region.

The question was raised once again Wednesday morning when the Irish offered the Virginia athlete 2026 Conner Salmin. The 6-foot, 1-inch, 190-pound prospect is not currently ranked by any major services, but his offer list shows he will be once the rankings are updated.

Notre Dame joined Georgia, Penn State, North Caroline and others by offering Salmin, who could play cornerback or wide receiver at the next level. Reading between the lines of the offer, since wide receivers coach Mike Brown has been tagged, he is likely being recruited as a receiver.

The Irish have just one current commitment to the class, Dylan Faison, Jordan’s brother, who competes in the Lacrosse championship this weekend.
