Isaiah Deloatch is more than just a top-notch athlete and standout sprinter. It turns out that the American football commit is also a very good bettor.
So get ready to let go Adam Korsak in the annals of American football tradition. Deloatch is the Scarlet Knights’ next big punter.
(OK, just having fun here. Korsak is the greatest of all time at Rutgers, but Deloatch is an impressive athlete… and it’s Memorial Day weekend… relax… open your bowels… it’s okay… this is just fun) .
A 6-foot-2, 200-pound linebacker from Hillside (Durham, North Carolina), Deloatch has committed to Rutgers since a list of offers which included Coastal Carolina, Duke, Indiana, James Madison, Liberty and Syracuse. It is classified as No. 15 recruit in North Carolina in the 2025 recruiting class.
His high school spring game was canceled due to inclement weather, but Deloatch still managed to show off his punting during the pregame:
This is a nice 40-yard shot with great hang time and good placement inside the five-yard line.
Earlier this month at the Under Armor Next Football Camp in North Carolina, Deloatch received a very strong article from 247 Sports:
“Listed at 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds, Deloatch posted several sub-11.00 100-meter dash times as a junior, displaying the type of speed that is rare to find at the linebacker position. A straight-line move with the ability to close space quickly, the Rutgers commit also showed some skill in pass coverage, representing one of Jaylen McGill’s only misses during the 1-on-1 period. Although it’s only May, Deloatch is a big Tar Heel State win for Greg Schiano’s program.
