Wisconsin wide receiver Will Pauling led the Big Ten in slot receiving yards in 2023, according to ProFootballFocus.

PFF notes that the rising star tallied 820 of his team-leading 837 total receiving yards last year while lined up. That means only 17 of his yards came lined up elsewhere.

Pauling enters 2024 prepared to improve on his 2023 campaign. The former transfer from Cincinnati led the Badgers with 74 receptions (36 more than second most), 837 yards and six touchdowns. He was the biggest bright spot on a largely inconsistent offensive unit.

He now enters 2024 as one of the PFF’s Top 10 Big Ten Wide Receivers and primed for a big season with transfer quarterback Tyler Van Dyke under center.

Wisconsin has great outside threats with Bryson Green, Joseph Griffin Jr. and CJ Williams. But the Badgers’ best offensive weapon is Pauling, even though he plays in the slot.
