Notre Dame football didn’t have to travel to recruit in-state cornerback Mark Zackery IV.
The Indianapolis native has long held the Irish in high regard during his recruitment and that paid off on Saturday when the 5-foot, 11-inch, 165-pound corner was verbally committed to Notre Dame.
Zackery becomes the Irish’s No. 22 commitment in the 2025 class as he continues to be the nation’s top collection according to the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings.
Notre Dame now has commitments from three of the nation’s top secondary members, such as Zackery, who is ranked as the nation’s No. 135 prospect and No. 15 cornerback according to the 247Sports Composite Ratings.
There isn’t much room left in the 2025 class for Notre Dame, so they need to make sure that any commitment they take going forward is a player they really want. Zackery fits that mold.
