The next four weeks will be important for Florida football as Billy Napier and Co. roll out the red carpet for the official visits to the Swamp by members of the 2025 cycle. The Gators will welcome some of the country’s top talent in hopes of bolstering a lagging recruiting class in the summer.

The Orange and Blue are currently ranked No. 45 in 247Sports’ 2025 team recruiting rankings, but will have plenty of opportunities to move up quickly if the program can impress the right players. Manny Navarro of Atlético recently looked at what’s happening in Gainesville and sees a lot of potential in Florida’s possibilities.

“Billy Napier had the No. 3 recruiting class last cycle until his team lost five straight games to finish 5-7 and in the process lost several key commitments,” Navarro reflected on the previous class.

“The Gators kept their five-star quarterback DJ Lagway and two high-profile in-state prospects – five-star defensive lineman LJ McCray and four-star linebacker Myles Graham – end with class No. 13 of the 2024 cycle.”

Five intriguing visitors

“Florida is the mix for some elite prospects in the Class of 2025.”

Navarro broad list Caleb Cunningham (five-star, No. 13), linebacker Tavion Wallace (four-star, #52), quarterback Keelon Russell (four-star, #79), offensive tackle Micah Deboshe (four-star, No. 82) and quarterback Mount Antwann (four stars, No. 127) as the five most intriguing visitors to Florida this summer.

Official visit schedule

“Cunningham, a Mississippi native ranked as the No. 2 receiver in the class, has been on campus twice and will return on June 7,” Navarro begins.

“He also has visits scheduled for Auburn (Friday), Tennessee (June 14) and Alabama (June 21th). With Lagway being part of Florida’s 2024 signing class, quarterback may not seem like a much-needed position, but the Gators are still looking for a good position and have Russell, an SMU commit from Texas, and Hill, a Georgia native , on the agenda for visits on consecutive weekends.
