It wasn’t all good news for Notre Dame football on the recruiting trail Saturday.

Yes, getting a commitment from 2026 quarterback Noah Grubbs is huge, but he won’t be able to sign for more than a year. Ohio Wide Receiver ShaunTerry was scheduled to sign this winter, but changed his mind and withdrew from the program.

The Irish recently tendered wide receiver JonAnthony Hall while they await a final decision on Derek Meadows as well. There are still two commits in the 2025 class, with Jerônimo Bettis Jr. It is Elijah Burres.

With so many current moving recruiting receivers, it’s hard to say how all of this will affect Notre Dame.

What we do know is that Notre Dame’s coaching staff has a great handle on what’s going on with their recruits and has shown they can easily find replacements if necessary.
