Auburn football is looking to make big moves on the recruiting trail in the summer, with many prospects taking official visits to the Plains.
One of those recruits is the offensive tackle Broderick Shullwho visited the Tigers this weekend and was very impressed.
“This was definitely the experience I needed to make my decision a lot easier,” Shull said in an interview with Auburn Undercover. “I would say definitely getting more of the campus vibe was a good part of it. Plus, seeing everyone again was a really good experience. The most important part was seeing the players, especially because you can see what they’re really like off campus and see if that resonates with me. And what, these guys are amazing, they suit me well. They are mature and responsible guys.”
Shull made his second visit to Auburn after a visit earlier this spring. This time, he left with a very positive feeling about what all of Auburn had to offer in its on-campus facilities.
The four-star offensive lineman is currently ranked as the No. 149 player in the country and the No. 13 offensive tackle recruit according to the On3 industry ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the state of Oklahoma.
The main reason Auburn is now in a good position to hire Shull can be credited to the relationship the offensive line coach Jake Thornton built with it.
With a possible decision day looming in late June, Shull is still ready to visit the likes of Texas Tech and Texas A&M during the month, while he has already visited Nebraska in May.
Auburn football received several notable targets for visits over the weekend, including five-stars Caleb Cunningham It is Na’eem Offordas well as former Ohio State oath Blake Woodby. Any commitments from these players would be monumental for the program, and the coach Hugh Freeze is making sure to do everything it can to get talented players.
