It should come as no surprise that when The National Football Foundation announced its 2025 vote that there would be some Ohio State football flavor for the group.
In fact, that was the case, as former linebacker James Laurinaitis and former coach Urban Meyer both were on the list.
The running back has quite the resume, as “Lil Animal” was a three-time All-American starting in 2006, won the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year award twice, while also taking home the Butkus Award for 2007 and the 2006 Bronko Nagurski Prize.
As for Meyer, his track record speaks for itself. He has the third-highest winning percentage in FBS history. He guided his teams to win three championships in total, two with Florida and the first College Football Playoff with the Buckeyes in 2014.
It would be no surprise to see Laurinaitis and Meyer making the final cut. In fact, we hope this is the case.
