Now that the season approaches, Notre Dame football players are back in action.
They can’t work on the field, but they can train with the strength and conditioning coach Loren Landow. Remember, this is the first time the Irish players will work with him before a season, as he was signed in December to replace Matt Balis, who resigned.
This is the time when players are doing a lot more football-specific lifting, as well as working on injury prevention. Strength and conditioning coaches don’t get the credit they deserve because they typically take a backseat to the coaching staff.
That shouldn’t discredit the impact Landow will have with the Irish this fall after previously working with the Denver Broncos.
