This race still has some twists and turns, not to mention the visits (Addison is in Florida on Thursday), but among state programs it seems State of Florida has more familiarity and direct contact with the versatile athlete.
Addison isn’t afraid to venture out of state and we know Penn State, Oregon It is UCLA are among those who have really helped their own cases lately, but the push from coaches closer to home, like Mike Norvell, Alex Atkins, Mario Cristobal It is Alex Mirabal might be too hard to pass up in what could amount to a classic battle of the Sunshine State.

A few weeks ago, this would have been an obvious selection for Miami with local defensive linemen, but Adirika has expanded his advice and now he’s looking to do some due diligence with Penn State and Louisville.

The ball could be more in Miami’s court regarding a push to keep him at home, but at this point that seems more likely towards the end of the cycle and Adirika appears close to ending the process.

Just a rising junior, Barclay is becoming one of the most coveted offensive line recruits in the state – regardless of class. He still considers his recruitment to be early, but admits that both Miami and Florida have been on his mind since the beginning of the process. The Gators make the next road trip and it will allow Barclay to have more one-on-one time with the new offensive line assistant Jonathan Decoster.
The OL’s previous battery of coaches piqued Barclay’s interest, so the opportunity to pick up where he left off appears to be available to the Gators.

Perhaps the most difficult decision in this exercise is the fact that Boucard’s profile has just risen to the national level and many programs are trying to reach beyond those in the SEC and ACC coverage area. Miami is gaining considerable ground with it now being so close to campus, but Oklahoma and Penn State have kept his attention since before his move to South Florida.
Canadian recruits are among the most willing to travel to play college football, so in-state ties aren’t as difficult to overcome with Boucard as they may be for Florida native prospects. A native of Virginia and now at IMG Academy, Golden has been racking up offers since his move to the Sunshine State and Rivals250 in the process. Notre Dame jumped last month, followed by North Caroline It is Virginia Technology, between others. Perhaps an offer from programs like Michigan or Ohio State could make this one even closer, but Golden looks like a strong pick on and off the field for the Irish.

A two-way talent who projects as a big, physical defensive back, Paret begins to make the final descent in his recruitment and a trio of programs are in the final grouping. UCF is the state favorite in this stretch, but Georgia Tech has his attention and Louisville often recruits well in-state and will make a trip out of Paret at the end of the month.
The Cardinals have the visit and the reasons to move up Paret’s list, but the Knights could have an advantage even if things go well with the ACC program.
Prediction: UCF

Another three-horse race could be shaping up to be one of the best in the South. Thomas has been hot in the state of Florida since childhood and the Seminoles accepted an offer in the fall, well before most others on their list.
Clemson is on the other end of the spectrum, fresh off hosting and hosting Thomas last weekend — although the impression was strong. Miami also appears to be in the top three as LSU, Penn State and others look to make up ground in the official visit season. We see this as an ACC battle between state powers and former conference power Clemson, with longevity providing FSU’s advantage.

Of all the names on this list, Watkins’ recruitment could actually last the longest, as he has already said he will make his decision in December.
