Jaelyne Matthews is down to three schools, Under Armor All-American says Rutgers Wire on Friday morning.

Matthews, a four-star recruit, is the nation’s No. 88 recruit according to ESPN. He is New Jersey’s second-highest-rated recruit in the 2025 class

He is listed at 6-foot-7 and 337 pounds. This offseason, Matthews played lacrosse for North Toms River (Toms River, New Jersey) where he was a multi-year starter on the football team’s offensive tackle.

Matthews was offered by Rutgers following his freshman season. Last year, he was selected to play in the Under Armor All-America Game, which is scheduled for January this year in Orlando, Florida.

“My top schools are Tennessee, Georgia and Miami,” Matthews said Friday morning via text message.

“And I’m planning to decide on June 11th at 12pm”

He is scheduled to visit the Miami Hurricanes this weekend for an official visit.

Last weekend, he took an official visit to Rutgers.

“It’s time to focus on being a senior in high school and playing football for my school,” Matthews said.

Matthews is a notable WaWa fan and a self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur.
