LSU already has a commitment from the top quarterback and No. 1 overall player in the 2025 class, Bryce Underwood.

While anything can happen in recruiting, Underwood’s commitment to the Tigers appears to be solid, and that has opened up a spot for co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan to turn its focus to the class of 2026.

The Tigers welcomed two blue-chip quarterback prospects this week at four-stars Brady Hart and five stars Dia Bell, the latter of whom participated in LSU’s Elite Camp on Thursday. Now, the team is ready to welcome another five-star in 2026.

Faizon Brandon9th place overall in the cycle, will be in the city, according to Shea Dixon from On3. The Grimsley (Greensboro, NC) prospect has previously spoken highly of Sloan, according to On3’s Chad Simmons.

“I built a very good relationship with him. Seeing what he does with quarterbacks is one of the reasons LSU is on my radar,” Brandon said. “I like how he develops defenders. I like how he works with the defenders.”

June will be busy for Brandon, who has visits scheduled with Alabama It is Penn State and will also potentially visit North Caroline and NC State. The rising junior said he hopes to cut his roster down to six by the end of the summer.

Tennessee currently leads the way for Brandon in the On3 recruiting prediction machine, but LSU is hoping the success of this team’s quarterback will convince Brandon to come to Bayou.
