It’s been more than two weeks in June, and that means the rush of official visits is upon us.
The Tigers have worked hard to build a 2025 class that ranks second nationally and appear to have made progress with some key uncommitted targets in the cycle, according to Zack Nagy of LSU Country.
Receiver CJ Wileyson of former LSU defensive end Chuck Wileyappears to be down to two teams at LSU and state Georgia, according to Nagy. Meanwhile, the Tigers would have gained ground in favor Texas A&M with the greatest security in the country Jonas Williams.
LSU baseball coach Jay Johnson even stepped in to help recruit the two-sport star.
One player the Tigers appear to be in good shape for is Carius Curne, the best inside forward in the country. LSU has several prospects for signing him and has set a commitment date for Wednesday after his visit.
Finally, Nagy reports that Carlos RossA four-star linebacker from Texas who committed to LSU in March is wrapping up his recruitment after a successful official visit this weekend.
LSU already has a solid foundation for its class, with its top overall recruit at quarterback Bryce Underwood serving as the main attraction. If they manage to sign up with some of these players, they have a real chance of finishing in the country’s first division.
