The busiest month of the offseason in recruiting is coming to an end, and Rivals’ national recruiting analyst Greg Smith analyzes the latest news from the Midwest.

Miller (6-3, 190) is one of the best wideouts in the Midwest. Cardinal Ritter of St. Louis (Mo.)’s highlight was in Kentucky last weekend.
“The coaches kept it real,” Miller said. “The visit was not rushed and I felt like I got the full experience of everything. The entire coaching staff and players made me feel like family.”
Miller liked the coaching staff’s speech that could be used across the field. But it’s the familiar feeling that keeps coming to Miller. He felt very comfortable with the other recruits and players.
“They made me feel like family,” Miller said. “I spent time with Jamori Maclin It is Baryon Brown. I had a really good conversation about relationships with coaches and life off the field.”
Miller plans to make his college decision early in his senior season.

Simms (6-4, 195) concluded his official visits with a trip to Missouri. The Tigers have long been viewed as the favorites in this draft. It was another good weekend in Colombia for the star.
“It was fun,” Simms said. “I got to see a lot more of the city than I ever have before.”
A June 30 appointment looms for Simms. It would be surprising if he didn’t choose Missouri, but USC could be an interesting underdog.

Columbus (Ohio) linebacker Bishop Hartley paid an official visit to Pitt last weekend. The super-productive linebacker says the visit couldn’t have gone better.
“It was great, man,” he said. “What stood out most was the connection with the coaches.”
A July 1 decision is coming soon for Cook. After their last visit, the Panthers could be tough to beat.

The three-star wide receiver from Ohio committed to Kentucky on Saturday after an official visit to the program midweek. Things got interesting over the weekend when Ohio State came to the table with an offer.
Bowman says he is “100% done” with Kentucky following the offer. Still, this is a college football draft. We will be keeping an eye on this situation as we progress through the season.

The all-state prospect from Macomb (Mich.) Dakota High School was on an official visit in State of Michigan last weekend. The forward (6-8, 295) was impressed with what he saw.
“The visit was great,” Bell said. “What caught my attention the most was the coexistence between the players and when I showed up, everyone welcomed me as if I were already on the team. The coaches were great too, they showed me around and made sure I felt like a priority to them, which I did.”
The other two teams in the top three are Indiana It is West Virginia. A decision could come soon. The fit at Michigan State may be too strong for Bell to ignore.

The four-star running back from Ohio concluded his series of official visits with NC State. The Wolfpack have been a constant in their recruitment.
“It was amazing and everything just stood out,” Rinehart said. “Everyone loves me there, from the head coach to the custodians, and I love them too.”
Rinehart’s recruitment took some interesting turns, but the Wolfpack always showed him a lot of love. This could set them up for a win in this recruiting battle.

Ball State may have pulled off a steal this weekend when the three-star St. Louis commit committed to the program. The commitment went unnoticed in all the news over the weekend, but Steed told Rivals why Ball State won.
“I would just say the love from the entire team and how much they wanted me more than all my other offers,” Steed said.
The Missouri native is eager to be a big piece of the puzzle in Muncie.
