Ohio State football had another dominant recruiting class for the 2024 campaign and landed a consensus top-five class in the country. Once again, the class features some serious star power and the Buckeyes were able to attract some incredible talent on the offensive side of the ball, including an intriguing interior offensive lineman from St. Edward in Lakewood, Ohio.
Name: Deontae Armstrong
Secondary School: St.
Height: 6 feet 6 inches
Weight: 280 pounds
Position: interior offensive lineman
Forces
Just like his twin brother, Deontae Armstrong has shown huge improvements throughout his high school career and has incredibly high potential. He also has a great frame that has grown a lot in recent years, but has room for even more muscle.

Weaknesses
This scouting report will sound similar to his brother’s, but in all fairness they are twins. Guys his size and level of athleticism tend to crush defenders in high school without thinking much, which means their main focus at the next level should be mental development.

Expectations
Armstrong is underrated and I have no idea why he was only listed as a three star because he is big, athletic and smart. He is one of my favorite players in this class and is the perfect clay ball for any offensive line coach to shape. It’s hard for offensive linemen to see the field early, but I think Armstrong can become an All-American level talent before he leaves Ohio State.
