Zaydaan Faridi has stepped away from American football specialized camp two weeks ago with two bucket hats, his prize for a truly outstanding performance at the event.

A kicker and punter from Clarksburg High School (Clarksburg, Maryland), Faridi is rated 4.5 stars by Kohl’s. It is classified as No. 100 kicker in the country.

At the Rutgers specialty camp two weeks ago, Faridi won the field goal competition and the kicking competition.

The class of 2025 was impressed with Rutgers during what was an important day for him shooting the ball.

“My time at Rutgers was great. It was an incredible experience to be able to shoot inside the stadium”, said Faridi Rutgers Wire.

“The coaches and players put on a well-organized camp. We started with the field goal chart where we kicked 8 field goals in an arc, I made 7 out of 8. After that we plotted field goals on the goal line to test our accuracy. After mapping the field goal, we went to kickoff. Each person made three initial guesses that were mapped out. My shot distances were 68, 71 and 76 yards. After all the graphics were done, we went to the throwing competition.

“Only six people were selected and it was a single elimination. First kick from 42 yards, second kick from 44 yards and third kick from 50 yards. I won the field goal competition with a 50-yarder. After that, coach Allen (senior analyst Eddie Allen who handles special teams) told me to come back at 55 and I did that too.”

This summer is busy for Faridi. He will participate in the New England Elite Mega Camp, as well as camps in Georgetown, UPenn, Towson and Lafayette.

Faridi will also be in Kohl’s National Invitation in late July in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Rutgers was a good start to this busy summer for Faridi.

“The program is great,” Faridi said.

“I also love the time and effort the entire coaching staff puts into special teams.”
