Notre Dame football may have discovered another recruiting gem in its own backyard.

Security in Fort Wayne Brandon Logan, who is committed to Vanderbilt baseball, was offered by the Irish on Friday night. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect is unranked, but that has a lot to do with his decision to play another sport at the college level.

Only two other schools offer football, Indiana and Iowa, again, a lower number due to his interest in a different sport. Logan could end up playing in college, as many current and former Irish stars have done, it would be a huge win for both Notre Dame programs if that were to happen.

It will be very interesting to see how this plays out, whether Logan chooses to stay in baseball or try to play football.
