Boom! Texas A&M 2025 recruitment class added its second defensive line prospect. Three-star defensive lineman Chace Sims announced his commitment Tuesday afternoon.
Heading into his senior season at Randle HS in Richmond (TX), Sims is as underrated as a defensive lineman can be, possessing impressive versatility along the line of scrimmage with the speed, power and hand technique to get into the backfield at a high rate. .
At 6’2.5″ and 305 pounds, Sims moves with ease, working the 3-tech interview defensive line while being deployed off the edge as a free rusher, consistently stifling athletic quarterbacks trying to make plays outside of structure.
Backing up his impressive tape, Sims recorded 86 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and 11 sacks during his 2023 freshman year and appears to be a favorite of Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko and defensive coordinator Jay Bateman after an official visit to College Station on June 21st.
According to 247Sports, Sims is currently ranked as the No. 61 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 89 prospect in Texas.
