Will Michigan State return to bowl games this year? Bill Bender of Sporting News thinks so.

Bender released an updated batch of bowl projections in recent days that included Michigan State. He got the Spartans to land in the Detroit Bowl (formerly known as the Quick Lane Bowl) playing Ohio of the Mid-American Conference.

Michigan State last played in the postseason in 2021 with a Peach Bowl victory over Pitt. The Spartans have lost bowl games the last two years.
