There will be some fireworks on the 4th of July.

Will they be green and yellow? This remains to be determined.

On Wednesday afternoon, 5-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore announced that he would make his college commitment on July 4th at 6 p.m. PT. He must choose between the Ducks, Texas Longhorns, Ohio State Buckeyes and LSU Tigers.

Moore, the No. 1 WR in the 2025 class and the No. 3 overall player in the country, was previously committed to LSU but backed out of that commitment earlier this year.

Moore has made several visits to Eugene, including an official visit last month. Right now, it appears the Longhorns are the most likely spot for the 5-star, but it wouldn’t be a surprise for Dan Lanning and Junior Adams to lure him.

Regardless of where he commits on Thursday, don’t expect runner-up teams to stop recruiting him, including Oregon. It looks like it will last until signing day in December.
