Maybe keep some fireworks on hand, just in case.
Missouri football is completing its recruiting class in the 2025 cycle, and next week could bring the Tigers close to completing their next team.
Four Mizzou targets are expected to announce their collegiate decisions over the next seven days, including a pair of four-star wide receivers and a blue-chip safety.
The Tigers currently have 12 players committed to their Class of 2025. The ball has started rolling this cycle with top-tier Pennsylvania quarterback Matt Zollers – a four- or five-star prospect, depending on your draft service choice – back. April. Since then, the numbers started rolling in… and from all sides.
Three players from within the Missouri state line are on board, including the top overall recruit – four-star offensive lineman Jack Lange of Eureka – and two more players ranked among the top 15 players in the Show-Me State. Mizzou secured verbal commitments from players from eight different states and faced some blue bloods to get them.
In all, the Tigers currently rank as the 35th class in the country and the 12th class in the expanded 16-team SEC, according to recruiting service 247Sports.
Depending on how next week goes, this could represent a significant jump.
Here are four players who will announce their college destinations between Thursday, July 4th and Wednesday, July 10th. All recruiting rankings, unless otherwise noted, come from 247Sports composite rankings.
Jayvan Boggs, wide receiver
Commitment time: 5pm CT Thursday, July 4th
Recruitment Classification: No. 211 national; #24 Wide Receiver
While the brats are grilling and the first fireworks begin to sizzle on the 4th, it might behoove Missouri fans to politely excuse themselves from the Independence Day festivities for a moment at 5 p.m. and pull Jayvan Boggs’ Live appointment streaming with Rivals recruiting service.
After losing four-star in-state prospect Corey Simms on Sunday, a number of recruiting predictions seem to indicate the Tigers won’t see two point guards pass them in the space of a week.
Between Rivals and On3, all three editors who have filed predictions currently have Boggs landing at MU.
Boggs was previously an Ohio State commit but reopened his recruitment in March. He took official visits to Mizzou, UCF, Georgia and USC, but has since narrowed his list of potential destinations to just Missouri and UCF, which is close to his school.
Missouri currently has just one wide receiver committed to its 2025 class: Ironton, Ohio, three-star native Shaun Terry.

Donovan Olugbode, wide receiver
Commitment time: 3pm CT Friday, July 5
Recruiting Classifications: No. 86 nationally; #11 Wide Receiver
The four-star wide receiver originally from Naperville, Illinois, now plays high school football on a national schedule at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. And Olugbode, like Boggs, collected some draft analyst predictions that favor Drinkwitz’s Tigers.
Among the three major recruiting services, all six editors who made a call predicted Olugbode will land in Missouri.
This has the potential to be one of the highlights of this recruiting class for Mizzou if Olugbode commits to playing in Colombia. USC, Washington, Oregon and Florida are all in contention for top 100 prospects.
There’s a chance for Missouri, and its future gunslinger Zollers, to land two playmakers on consecutive days. Olugbode will announce your appointment live with 247Sports.
Keiton Jones, offensive lineman
Commitment time: 3pm CT Sunday, July 7
Recruiting Classifications: No. 545 national; #35 interior offensive lineman
Keiton Jones, a native of Coffeyville, Kansas, apparently has three schools, all regional. Missouri will battle Kansas State and Arkansas to the finish line for the 6-foot-4, 315-pound interior offensive lineman.
Missouri is still in the running for four-star offensive lineman Lamont Rogers, who has a commitment date scheduled for this month. But that appears to be moving away from the Tigers.
The Tigers have Lange in-state and Fort Worth, Texas, three-star product Henry Fenuku committed along the O-Line. Three On3 forecasters and one Rivals editor have registered predictions – there are currently no predictions otherwise – that Jones will will join them at Columbia next year.
Charles Bass, security
Commitment time: TBA Wednesday, July 10
Recruiting rankings (rivals): No. 97 nationally; #9 security
The Tribune used Rivals’ rankings for Bass’ position, as 247Sports still lists him as an athlete, though it’s likely he is being recruited specifically as a safety.
Either way, this appears to be one of the most positive signs for MU. It’s a regional battle for Bass’ commitment as Mizzou joins Arkansas, Illinois and Kansas State. The in-state Illini appear to be the top contenders for East St. Louis’ 6-1 defense, but most predictions have Mizzou as the leader.
Bass could become the latest to come down from the East St. Louis High-to-Missouri pipeline, with wide receivers Luther Burden III and now-Georgia Bulldog Dominic Lovett each committing to the Tigers out of high school, and cornerback Toriano Pride Jr. transferring from Clemson to the Tigers this offseason.
