Jayvan Boggs, a four-star wide receiver from Cocoa, Florida, committed to Missouri on July 4th – announcing his commitment live on the Rivals Instagram page.
From 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins’ analysis of Boggs:
“He has early Power Four upside from several years and could work his way into the rotation sooner rather than later as he doesn’t lack polish.”
Boggs was also named to the 2023 MaxPreps High School Football Junior Team.
Boggs gained state and national recognition, dominating as a junior with 93 receptions for 1,493 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2023.
Boggs chose Mizzou over UCF, USC, Florida, Georgia, Notre Dame among more than two dozen schools. He had scheduled official visits to Georgia and USC in July, but canceled those trips to be a Missouri Tiger.
USC just won a draft against Missouri for a wide receiver. Won recruiting Corey Simms against the Tigers and Penn State. Among the several recruits USC has lost in recent weeks, this one won’t hurt much. The Trojans need to shore up their defense more than anything, and their defensive line in particular.
