Knights secure 7th commitment in 5 days from 3-star Armwood linebacker

It’s been a windfall for UCF on the recruiting trail as the Knights secured their seventh commitment in the last five days after 3-star linebacker Cameron White committed on Sunday.

White, 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, becomes 18th coach commit Gus Malzahn and his coaching staff received for the 2025 recruiting cycle. The class is ranked No. 23 in the country according to the latest composite rankings from 247Sports.

White had 81 tackles with 13 tackles for loss, 5 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries last season for Sumner High School, helping lead the Stingrays to the regional finals of the 4M playoffs. In three varsity seasons at the school, he totaled 120 tackles, including 23 tackles for loss, 9 sacks, 2 interceptions and 5 fumble recoveries. He recently transferred to Armwood High for his senior season.

He received offers from schools like Louisville, NC State, Syracuse and Tennessee.

It’s been a busy holiday week for UCF, which has secured commitments from receiver Waden Charles (Palm Beach Central), offensive linemen Christian Hudson (Mainland), Tylon Lee (Pace), Darryll and Mandrell Desir (Norland) and offensive lineman Andrew Stargel (Roswell). ).

All verbal commitments are non-binding but may become official during the early signing period in December.
