After much buzz surrounding the potential of a turnaround, the Georgia Bulldogs have added yet another big commitment to the class of 2025. Shamari Earls, a four-star cornerback from Chester, Virginia, switched to the Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon after being previously committed to the Dawgs’ conference rivals, the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Earls is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound cornerback who plays at Thomas Dale High School and has been committed to the Gamecocks since April. He is the nation’s No. 8 cornerback and Virginia’s No. 2 cornerback.

Earls starred in football and track. He played as a two-way player, recording 25 tackles and three interceptions a season ago on the defensive end, adding 715 yards and eight touchdowns as a receiver, while also working as a return specialist.

With the addition of Earls, the Bulldogs now have 18 committed players in the 2025 class and rank third. class in the countryjust behind Ohio State It is Alabama. South Carolina fell to No. 38 after losing one of its highest-rated commits.
