1. Florida will sign a high school quarterback in the 2025 class.
Higdon: FACT. The player that seems to make the most sense is State of Florida commitment Tramel Jones and his relationship with the wide receiver Vernell Brown III. If the Gators can turn things around and get to eight or more wins, Jones will be the man of the class. However, if the Gators fail to have a winning season, he will keep his current pledge to the Seminoles.
Garcia: FACT. I tend to take a player at his word when he closes things out, so that would rule out a Jones move from Florida State to Florida. This doesn’t mean that quarterback candidates elsewhere will perform the same, as there are many factors that can change the tone of a recruitment once the season rolls around.
I agree with Jason on this point, the 2024 campaign will result in the usual late-cycle quarterback carousel and the idea of the Gators building around DJ Lagway will be enough to attract late action.
North Carolina State could be in play with Duke commit Dan Mahan It is North Caroline commit Bryce Baker, but that’s a story for autumn. The other scenario is that Florida’s own transition completely rearranges the board and/or a late riser in the state becomes the bridge between Lagway and the 2026 blue-chip arm. Will Griffin.

2. Florida State will sign several four-star linebackers in the 2025 class.
Burnham: FACT. Winning is still the biggest tool when it comes to recruiting and I expect FSU to do a lot of that this fall, which should help the Seminoles land at least one more four-star LB for this class.
Garcia: FACT. The Seminoles attacked beyond Ethan Prichard at the linebacker position for the class of 2025, but the summer tends to bring some surprises on the recruiting trail. It’s hard to imagine, especially with the expected success on the field this fall. Mike NorvellFlorida State will not be trending toward some of those same names in the fall.
There is also a group of prospects in the state and beyond who could earn blue chip status as the 2024 season — the most important evaluation for the senior class — progresses. Wallace and Alford seem, at the very least, potential candidates to turn the region around.

3. Miami will win the Florida State recruiting title for the 2025 class.

Benjamin: FACT. Miami currently ranks ninth in Rivals.com’s team recruiting rankings after your most recent appointment, SJ Alofaituliannounced his pledge to the Hurricanes on Friday.
The Hurricanes have a considerable gap between their rivals Florida and Florida State. The Seminoles are ranked 35th and the Gators are ranked 72nd in the country. The Seminoles have 10 commitments and the Gators only have eight commitments, meaning a lot of ground can be made with both programs, but Miami is certainly not done yet.
The Hurricanes are in contention for several top-tier talents, and many are considering Miami. DJ Pickett, Jaboree Antíone, Jarquez Carter, Byron Louis It is Aidan Anding That’s just a handful of prospects with Miami on their top list, so it’s hard to imagine the other two of Florida’s Big Three rebounding.
The only chance Miami’s rivals have is to hope the Hurricanes falter during the season. If the Hurricanes produce another mediocre season, the Gators and Seminoles may have a chance to gain ground, but by then it may be too late.
Garcia: FICTION. This thing is very close. Miami has the No. 1 class right now and will likely maintain that position in the fall, but Florida State is catching up. The Seminoles have just 10 verbal commitments at the moment, compared to 17 for the Hurricanes.
According to the pledge, Florida State’s 4.1-star average rating tracks the nation — let alone the state. Mike NorvellThe group does not have three stars on board at the moment and, of course, many targets are still in play.
The biggest point of contention between the two programs may come during the season itself, where each is the favorite to work as an ACC contender in the coming months. The difference is the Seminoles are there with their current team and Miami is working towards it. If that situation repeats itself in the fall, it could be the Seminoles who rise up the recruiting trail as a result.
Eyes will be more focused on Gainesville in the fall regarding any potential coaching changes in the state, so the fallout from there could provide the final clash one way or another between the ACC duo.
