I just saw the war, the fire and the desire of our young people and I can’t wait until you have the opportunity to see it too.

So I’m very optimistic about what lies ahead this year.

I am judged on a different scale.

I, I, my, my, my victories are totally different from your victories, your victories.

You just judge football.

That’s why I have to start and give them education, studies and so on.

I have to give you these things.

So you understand, there is a greater scope.

I can’t win nine games and we, our GPA suffers, our GPA can’t be high, but we lose eight more games.

We, we can’t help but get high school players and you’ve got a lot of guys in the portal, uh, out of the portal that are being incarcerated.

My victories are different.

We have to win in all areas.

This is how we are judged.

And I’m okay with that because we, we, came a little different.

So expectations are greater, but it’s not just football.

It’s been like this my whole life.

I always had higher expectations for myself.

Therefore, the expectation you have for me would never exceed the expectation I have for myself.

And I love that these kids are being compensated in some way for what they bring to the table.

Um, I don’t want them to put the bag down before the game because if you have the game, the bag will come, I want them to understand that, but I just don’t want to take away from the purity, the purity of this wonderful game that we have.

College football is phenomenal, man.

This conference is phenomenal.

Look, look where we are.

You’ve got to be kidding me, man.

I’m a brother from Fort Myers, Florida, and I’m sitting here in the damn Las Vegas end zone, talking to the entire country about a childhood game I played when I screamed.
