USC Trojans wide receivers coach Dennis Simmons and head coach Lincoln Riley signed Houston receiver Tanook Hines out of Dekaney High School.

Hines made his advertisement on social media Monday.

Hines also received offers from other schools, including Texas, Texas A&M, Arizona State, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Houston, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Penn State, Notre Dame and TCU, among several other programs, per 247 Sports.

As a sophomore, Hines caught 50 passes for 867 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore. He then caught 35 passes for 528 yards and five touchdowns as a junior.

Hines is one of the fastest prospects in Texas, running 10.45 in the 100-meter dash and 20.71 in the 200-meter dash.

The Trojans now have 14 commits in their 2025 recruiting class. Hines joins Corey Simms in the 2025 wide receiver class. USC is ensuring its future quarterbacks have a large number of quality receivers to play with, ensuring that the future receiver rooms will be able to deliver more results than the disappointing 2023 receiver class.
