The SEC Network’s traveling show SEC Nation will open the 2024 season in Gainesville when the Florida Gators host the Miami Hurricanes on Aug. 31, the network announced Wednesday.

SEC Nation returns to the tailgates, stadiums and sidelines of college football this fall and will regularly follow the 3:30 pm ET SEC ABC showdown. Florida graduate Laura Rutledge will host the show in its eighth season — the show’s ninth overall — joined by the great Gator Tim TebowPaul Finebaum, Jordan Rodgers and Roman Harper.

Set location, times and more details about the show will be shared in the coming weeks.

The University of Florida has hosted SEC Nation 11 times previously — including six times in Gainesville — since the show first aired in 2014. The show most recently arrived in Gainesville on Sept. 18, 2021, when the No. 11 Gators presented No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide in the swamp.

SEC Nation was also in attendance when the Gators last faced Miami, as the show traveled to Camping World Stadium in Orlando for the August 24, 2019 matchup.

Florida’s upcoming 12th time hosting will lead the Gators to a tie with the Georgia Bulldogs for the second most hosting appearances in SEC Nation.

SEC Nation will also receive a new theme song, celebrating the show’s tenth season on the air and the new era of the conference as a whole, written and recorded by Florida alumna Brooke Eden.
