After a fantastic defensive line play in 2024 that yielded David Pedra, Jayden Jackson, Nigel Smith, Danny OkoyeIt is Wyatt Gilmorethe Oklahoma Sooners did a good job adding talent early in the Recruiting Class of 2025.
With five months left in the early signing period, the Sooners have commitments from CJ Nickson, Trent Wilson, Ka’Mori MooreIt is Alexandre Knight Shield, reinforcing a deep unity when they arrive in Norman. And it doesn’t seem Todd Bates is passed by any stretch of the imagination.
The Sooners were chasing Rivals four-star forward Floyd Boucard, and on Wednesday night they earned a trio of crystal ball predictions from 247Sports recruiting experts Tom Loy, Brian Dohm and Collin Kennedy of Sooners Illustrated.
Boucard is a 6-foot-3, 315-pound defensive end who has only been playing football for a few years. He grew up in Canada playing hockey and the agility and athleticism required is clear.
He is a dynamic disruptor, playing both defensive and defensive tackle in three-man fronts for Miami Central. Boucard shows a very good first step off the line of scrimmage and great lateral agility. He is strong and has good game speed for the position. When asked to play in a two-gap defense, he does a great job staying disciplined in the system and is fantastic at clearing blocks.
Although considered a three-star prospect by 247Sports and On3, Boucard has a chance to see his rating rise throughout his senior season. He has all the skills teams look for in a defensive lineman and has the versatility, skill and experience to play multiple spots at the next level.
Boucard is expected to make his commitment decision on July 20 and appears to be choosing between USCMiami and Alabama.
