This offseason, the Fresno State Bulldogs and head coach Jeff Tedford signed former five-star recruit and USC transfer Korey Foreman.
During Mountain West media days earlier this month, head coach Jeff Tedford — before retiring from coaching for health reasons — offered his highest praise for the USC transfer, comparing Foreman to the New York Giants Hall of Famer , Lawrence Taylor.
“There was one practice where he had three sacks, two picks and one with one hand,” Tedford said on Western Mountain Network. “I walked into the defensive room and asked, ‘Who let Lawrence Taylor on the field?’ That’s what he looked like.”
Korey Foreman, was the second overall recruit in the 247 Sports composite roster for the 2021 college football class, including being California’s No. 1 player and the nation’s No. 1 edge rusher.
The former Corona Centennial (Calif.) star failed to live up to expectations during his three-year tenure at USC, managing to rack up 24 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and one interception during his freshman and sophomore years. In 2023, she opted for a redshirt year before entering the transfer portal. It will be interesting to see how Fresno State’s interim staff, with Tedford now retired, handles Foreman and, for that matter, the entire 2024 Bulldog roster.
