Decision day is Thursday for Jyon Simon, a defensive lineman from Florida who is being recruited by Rutgers football. His recruitment includes some of the biggest names in college football.
A 6-foot-4, 260-pound defensive lineman from Raines High School (Jacksonville, Fla.), Simon had 77 total tackles, nine sacks and 15 tackles for loss last year. Simon paid a visit to American football this past week.
This spring, he visited Auburn, North Carolina State, East Carolina and Atlantic Florida. He made two visits to North Carolina State this spring.
On Thursday, Simon’s commitment ceremony will be hatless, a common practice at announcement ceremonies. Instead, Simon will have cards on the table. And Simon said the following shows will have cards on the table on Thursday night:
The tastes of Arkansas, AuburnGeorgia Tech, Iowa State, Louisville and Maryland also offered Simon.
Simon will make his announcement at his school at 6:30 pm ET.
According to 247 Sports Compoundhe is a three-star recruit and the 78th-ranked defensive lineman in the country.
