Recruiting expert predicts four-star wide receiver will end up at Penn State

Penn State has a clear need for creative wide receivers, and it appears a four-star receiver could be on the horizon for the Nittany Lions. Four-star Florida wide receiver Koby Howard appears to be trending in a positive direction for Penn State in the 2025 class. The first official recruiting forecast is now on the board, suggesting Penn State will end up with Howard’s commitment .

The first recruiting prediction among the three major recruiting media outlets comes from John Garcia Jr., national recruiting analyst at Rivals, and it is in favor of Penn State. Rivals’ current futurecast percentage favors Penn State with a score of 75.0%.

This recruiting prediction comes just over a month after Howard took an official visit to Penn State in June. He currently has official visits scheduled with state programs State of Florida It is Florida in the fall. He also recently visited Ole Miss, a week before his visit to Happy Valley. Tennessee appeared to be one of Howard’s early favorites based on his future scoring history on Rivals, but the Vols seemingly fell out of contention.

Rivals ranks Howard as a four-star player and the 26th overall player in Florida. Rivals also ranks Howard as the no. 28th overall wide receiver in the country and the 145th best overall player in the country. Howard, a 6’1″ receiver playing for Chaminade Madonna, would be a great addition to Penn State’s 2025 recruiting class.

247Sports rates Howard as a three-star player but considers him a four-star player in the composite rankings. On3 also rates Howard as a three-star player, but gives him a fourth star in the industry rankings. 247Sports appears to have Howard’s recruitment between Penn State and Ole Miss, but recruiting prediction machine On3 has Penn State as a long shot. But this calculation may be based on data that has not been updated for some time.

Penn State’s current 2025 recruiting class is currently ranked no. 13 in the 247Sports composite team rankings. Among the 22 commitments in the recruiting class are receivers Jeff Exinor Jr. It is Lyrick Samuel.
