After landing his first commitment for the 2026 class in March from five-star quarterback Jared Curtis, the Georgia Bulldogs now they’ve added an all-state defense from Jonesboro, Georgia. Jontavius Wyman announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on Saturday morning, choosing UGA over Clemson, OregonIt is Florida.
Wyman is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound four-star defensive back. He is the No. 12 cornerback in the country and the No. 19 overall player out of Georgia. He primarily played the corner position, but also spent time playing safety while also playing on the offensive side of the ball as a wide receiver and quarterback.
Playing at Jonesboro High School, Wyman racked up 37 tackles, 12 pass breakups and five interceptions a season ago, while also catching 37 passes for 602 yards and seven touchdowns. Wyman also participates in track and field.
Wyman is the second addition to what appears to be a promising 2026 class for the Bulldogs. Georgia currently ranks third in the 2025 recruiting cycle, behind only Alabama and Ohio State, respectively.
