Penn State welcomed a number of potential recruiting targets to campus this weekend for its annual mid-summer White Out camp, and several players returned home with a scholarship offer in hand. Among those who received an offer from James Franklin and the Penn State team was forward Tavian Branch.
Branch, a 6’4, 300-pound tackle from Taylor, PA, is rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals in the class of 2026. He does not yet have a recruiting ranking from 247Sports or On3 at this time. Rivals also lists Branch as a defensive tackle, although Penn State is recruiting him to play offensive tackle. 247Sports and On3 also list Branch as an offensive lineman.
Penn State is the sixth offer for Branch so far in the Class of 2026 recruiting process. Fellow Big Ten school Rutgers also extended an offer. Other offers came from Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Temple and Kent State.
According to early predictions from On3’s recruiting prediction machine, Penn State has a big lead in Branch’s commitment thus far. On3 gives Penn State an 85.7% chance of securing a commitment from Branch at this time.
Penn State has already added an offensive line commitment in the class of 2026. Penn State received a commitment from Kevin Brown, one of Pennsylvania’s highest-rated players, the same weekend that resulted in Branch receiving an offer.
