Team GB announced their tennis squad for Paris at the Queen’s Club on Sunday and although Murray is currently only up for singles, he has been nominated for a place in the doubles alongside Dan Evans.

“I will find out in the next 10 days about the doubles and what will happen there. I hope Evo and I get the chance to play.”

Team GB were also notified on Thursday that 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu would be in contention for an ITF spot, but she turned down the chance because of multiple changes to the surface in the coming weeks and after only recently returning from a long-term injury. absence.

Murray is one of four singles players selected by LTA Olympic team leader Iain Bates, alongside Jack Draper, Cameron Norrie and Evans, with Katie Boulter being the only female participant from Great Britain.
