The NFL Draft is officially in the books. We no longer need to speculate about where guys will go. Now it’s time to see how they fit together. Matt Harmon and Charles McDonald break down the rookie costume outfits they love, the ones they question, and the group of choices that are great choices in real life but rather “meh” for costume purposes.
To start the show, the duo highlights the fantasy looks they love. Harmon and McDonald agree that WR Ladd McConkey going to the Chargers is a perfect fit with Justin Herbert. Harmon speculates whether McConkey could have a more productive rookie season than Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze with his target opportunity. Harmon is also optimistic about RB Trey Benson going to Arizona and thinks he could be a potential ‘league winner’ at the end of the season in 2024. McDonald and Harmon disagree on the Dolphins’ selection of RB Jaylen Wright.
After the break, the two identified choices they didn’t like, but questioned how they would fit for fantasy purposes. Harmon is still very skeptical about how WR Keon Coleman will work in Buffalo. McDonald is willing to trust Josh Allen’s talent to make it all work. The two also wonder how WR Malachi Corley will be utilized in New York and whether Nathanial Hackett will be able to maximize him in the slot.
The two end the show with four choices they thought were great in real life, but too “meh” for fantasy purposes. No pick has caused more angst in the fantasy community than the LA Rams against RB Blake Corum. The two were also confused by the Green Bay Packers signing RB Marshawn Lloyd after signing Josh Jacobs this offseason.
