He is scheduled to stand trial later this month on alleged charges of drunken driving on a third or more day.

Mahomes Sr. is a former MLB pitcher and played in the major leagues for 11 seasons.

He faces a potential sentence of 10 years and a fine of up to $10,000, for The Daily Mail.

The February incident, which occurred just days before his son played in Super Bowl LVIII, was at least the third DUI incident involving Mahomes Sr.

He previously served 40 days in prison in 2019 for a similar crime.

Pat now claims to have been sober for six months, marking the milestone with his 32,000 Instagram followers on Tuesday.

Posing for a photo alongside Cincinnati Reds legend Pete Rose, Mahomes Sr. revealed his journey to sobriety.

“I would like to thank my wife’s family and friends God for 6 months on the sunny side of the road,” Pat wrote.

“Amazing!! What a way to be sober for you and your family,” said another.

“Congratulations! Players make plays and this is the definitive play,” added a third.

“Big congratulations! It’s hard work. You accomplished this and you’re so happy you have such a great support system,” a fourth commented.

Pat was arrested last month for driving with a suspended license in Smith County.

Mahomes Sr. was cited by police for driving with an invalid license, for TMZ.

Court documents show the 53-year-old was fined for the crime at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time on June 29.

He was initially stopped and given a warning for allegedly disregarding traffic signals, according to the report.

Kansas City Chiefs star Mahomes is targeting a historic three-peat when the NFL returns to action next month.

No team in the modern NFL era has won three consecutive Super Bowls.
