NFL fans think the Dallas Cowboys could be in trouble.

Cowboys stars CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons apparently didn’t like owner Jerry Jones’ comments regarding contract negotiations with the team’s star wide receiver.

Jones, 81, suggested Thursday that extending Lamb’s deal is not a priority for the franchise.

“I don’t have any urgency to do this,” the Cowboys owner said about the negotiations, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.

Lamb, 25, shared a post featuring Jones’ remark on his X profile, adding a caption that read, “Lol.”

Parsons, also 25, relayed it soon after in what appeared to be a message of support for the frustrated wide receiver.

Their reaction didn’t go unnoticed among NFL fans.

“THEY’RE BOTH GONE,” commented one of them.

“Oh shit, Cowboys down and I’m right here,” added another.

“The Cowboys’ downfall is coming,” said a third.

“The castle is falling,” wrote one.

Lamb is also said to have removed the words America’s Team, a well-known Cowboys nickname, from his X bio following Jones’ comments.

Dallas Cowboys boss playing ‘Houdini’ as team tries to tie Dak Prescott and co-stars to new contracts

The three-time Pro Bowler’s current contract is set to expire next year.

The star has been kept out of Dallas training camp due to a lack of progress in negotiations with the team.

Quarterback Dak Prescott will also hit free agency next year if he doesn’t sign an extension in the coming months.

Parsons is also looking for a new contract, having entered the fourth year of his debut contract.

But Jones has been adamant that the Cowboys not rush into negotiations with their stars – while insisting he is “all in” on the 2024 NFL season.

He even compared himself to Kansas City Chiefs signal-caller Patrick Mahomes when explaining his strategy last month.

“In my life, I’ve played option quarterback so many times and waited until the last leaf on the tree,” Jones said.

“If you want to imagine a pure option quarterback coming out on the field, I ran the ball and I guarded it and I didn’t give it to the [running] back, I didn’t throw it back, I didn’t play it, and I put that thing aside before making the decision.

“As I didn’t get what I needed, it wasn’t right for me to make the decision.

“And so what our fans are seeing, what we’re dealing with, is that we’re biding our time.

“We’re option quarterbacks and we’re going to the sideline, and we don’t hand it off, we don’t throw it.

“We’re trying to decide [with] what to do? Does this sound like Mahomes to you? A little?”
