NFL icon Robert Griffin III’s bizarre photo at the Paris Olympics took his social media followers by surprise — New York Knicks star Josh Hart among them.
The former defender shared a photo of himself eating a croissant together with his wife Grete Sadeiko.
Not just any croissant. A croissant bigger than your head.
In the photo, Griffin, 34, and Sadeiko, 31, can be seen trying to chew the gigantic pastry on both sides.
The former NFL No. 2 overall selection closed his eyes as he took a bite while holding the croissant in both hands, making the image even more hilarious.
“It’s always croissant time in Paris,” wrote RGIII in the caption.
The photo went viral and Griffin’s followers realized it had huge meme-generating potential, considering her awkward pose.
And Hart, 29, tried to warn the former Baylor standout.
“This might be the craziest tweet I’ve ever seen. I don’t know if Jesus himself could make me post this,” said the Knicks forward he wroteadding a laughing emoji when sharing the photo on X.
Others joined in and laughed at the unfortunate post.

“Enjoying a baked treat with your wife in Paris is a flex, but brother, they will cook you for this image,” wrote one fan.
“The internet is forever G,” added another.
“This is asking to be photoshopped,” said a third.
“Wait until the memes drop for this one,” one wrote.
Griffin took the mocking as sport, however.
“You can’t eat a croissant with your wife on this app anymore,” he wrote in another post.

“How long would it take you to eat this buttery goodness?”
Griffin even did a TikTok to explain what he called the Croissant Gate.
The former Washington Commanders star said he was aware of the memes, but told fans they could find them for themselves.
RGIII added that he doesn’t regret posting the photos, noting that the croissant “was absolutely delicious” – and that his and Sadeiko’s pants made the photo even better.
“I will never stop having fun with my wife with a croissant in my hand,” Griffin said.
